The ol' blog...

May 17, 2008 22:41

I haven't written an entry in 48 weeks. I miss writing random thoughts, keeping up with what was going on in my life - from the day-to-day activities to the maturing I've been doing over the course of this blog. Why did I quit? I think I got oversaturated with blogging. Instead of just blogging on my own free time and enjoying reading my friends, I was doing it for class, projects and work. It got to be too much. Then, most of my friends quit updating their LJ. Instead, they use myspace or facebook. Some have simply "outgrown" their blogs.

Do I keep this particular blog or begin somewhere fresh, new. I've changed so much in the last couple of years. I wonder if starting over would be the best thing to do. I love google, and could work with blogger. Yet, there are aspects of LJ I prefer. I could purchase a domain, set up my own website...be legit! I think I've decided to keep this blog for the time being. If you really want to see the maturation (word usage?) of my life during the past 4 or 5 years, then read the "old stuff".

I'm going to try to start writing regularly - at least biweekly. We'll see what happens.

And, most of it is probably going to be friends only. Somehow publishing my personal stuff for the whole world isn't as enticing as it once was. Not that there's anything I coudln't say to the world. I think the older I get, the more I'm valuing my privacy - as much or as little as I desire, on my terms.

ok. it's late. i'm sleepy. and I still have a lot to do to be ready for my two work events tomorrow.

fresh start
