Hic Sunt Dracones!

Jun 08, 2011 02:31

I completely meant to post this earlier yesterday, but then I worked a couple extra hours, came home, ate and fell asleep in my chair sitting up for 5 hours.  Ah exhaustion...

Anyway, IT'S FINALLY  HERE AND AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC!!  I have been e-published in a fan anthology in honor of Dragon*Con's 25th anniversary this year!

I took your advice and started reading Hic Sunt Draconis, and the first lines of the first essay describe driving from Chapel Hill NC -where I live - listening to one of my favorite songs. Also I'm going to D*C this year. Must be some kind of omen!

Wait, wait, wait! HOLD THE PHONE!! You'll be at D*C this year?

Might I humbly suggest a meet up? I will be there and, in fact, I will be driving down from Charlotte, with my best friend, Bekah, who lives there (I'm flying there from OKC where I am living.) I would love to meed a fellow Idoler in person!!

You'll get two-for-one if the timing works out- I'm rooming with dizzydog/dizzy_writing (also his wife and my husband - should be an interesting weekend if that's not redundant to say about Dragon*con!) and we both really want to track down the other Idolers who will be there and find a time to meetup and hang out. Gary was there last year, but he hasn't said anything about this year. Puppetmaker40 will be there. That's about all I know of.

Oh, and which of the essay writers in the ebook are you??

*FLAIL* Ok, now I'm even more extra excited! Last year I tried to get some interest in an Idoler's meet up, but no one replied to my comments in the green room, and I had so few Idolers on my flist then.

Oh, I'm Othella Morris. Here There Be Dragons is mine.
