Pacers' New Jerseys and Paul McCartney's Zinger

Today the Pacers revealed their new uniforms, which they'll wear beginning this year.  Let me just say this.  I don't like them.  Are we trying to look like the Lakers here?  Why did we need new ones when the previous ones were ranked as the best jerseys in the league by a poll on NBA's website?  And they won by a decent margin as well.  I don't get it.  Don't tell me this has to do with the brawl because that is a load of garbage.  These new duds look like what the team wore in the late 70s/early 80s.  Not only that, they seem kinda plain and generic.  They lack identity.

On another topic, Sir Paul McCartney called into one of the radio stations here in Atlanta last week (96 Rock, which formerly was a Bob and Tom affiliate, don't get me started on that).  The morning team, known as the Regular Guys (yes the same ones who were fired over a year and a half ago for airing porn with offensive language) asked Paul which Beatles song was his favorite.  Paul told them that's like picking one of his children as a favorite, he can't do it.  So one of the Regular Guys asked him why then did he let Michael Jackson buy his children.

Paul's reply?

"Well, he likes children."

To borrow a phrase from Larry the Cable Guy, I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.

I'm out like the Pacers' pinstripes.
