Ok, I have a few things to say here before I get back to "Name That Tune" aka work.
1. I may start a podcast soon, an audio equivalent of this journal. I'm not doing this because I think it will be successful or widely listened-to. I used to be a radio DJ, and this is as good a way as any to keep up some semblance of broadcasting skill. Not sure when this would begin or how often it will be done, but I'm sure if you are curious to hear it, you'll ask me how to find it.
2. I may be switching back to the Hit format at work. The Hit format was the format I was hired to do back in '03, but due to staffing issues, I was moved to the Hot AC format at the start of this year. Now due to new staffing issues, I've been asked if I'd like to switch back. It's nice to be wanted, respected, and appreciated for the job I do.
3. I have the weekend of Homecoming off, so barring any unexpected events, I plan on being in Muncie with the wife.
4. Before you start saying how the former head of FEMA was all Bush's fault, keep in mind that a Democratic-led Congress approved him. Not only that but the Democratic-led commission looking into his replacement barely even shows up to discuss the potential replacement. Go to
CNN's website and look for the video article titled "Dems to blame for Brown hire?"
And before you ask,no I'm neither a Democrat or Republican, I'm an independent American who distrusts both sides, because they let politics cloud the issues.
And finally...
5. I've begun to keep track of my favorite soccer (or as every other country calls it, football) team, Manchester United and how they are doing on my IM profile. Let me just say that they were fortunate to tie Villarreal 0-0. Wayne Rooney, United's version of Ron Artest, damn near assaulted a ref and got tossed, leaving Man U to play one man short the rest of the game.
Thank Directv for putting Fox Soccer Channel on the Sports Pack, which I added to our subscription two weeks ago. Happy Late Birthday to ME!
Thank you that is all.
