i wanted to take a moment and post about the loveliness of this weekend. because, the previous post not withstanding, i actually had a good weekend.

whining* to the contrary, this weekend had the american astronaut, brunch, croquet, mt. auburn cemetery, and of course gaming. a quite lovely and satisfying weekend--i may be terrible at croquet, but i got to repeatedly threaten to punch wirednavi in the mouth (nothing personal, i just enjoy the irony as i am a pacifist), so things evened out.

one of the things i enjoy most about my neighborhood here in somerville is that almost everyone has lilies growing in their yards. the streets are abloom with rich yellows, oranges and reds exploding over and through chain link fences.

lilies are my favorite flowers, and sometimes i can't help but feel like all this beauty is somehow for me.

since posting yesterday i have been reminded of a couple additional things i would like to do before leaving new england. so here is the new and improved list:

i had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. fri night did a little shopping and had dinner with starkeymonster and some other friends. stayed in sat due to rain and fear that i was coming down with the plague. but that meant i got to spend some quality time with Dog, which is always good.
