And to anyone on my f-list who watches "How I Met Your Mother" (and if you aren't already...START NOW! It is LEGEND-wait for it-DARY!): Barney and Robin...what the eff? Why are the writers teasing us with all the flirting and bro-chemistry? They had better be doing it by the seaon finale, or Mallory's gonna have to choke a bitch!
Based on the descriptions of upcoming episodes (culled from Wikipedia, and the TWOP forums), I have high hopes for a Barney/Robin hookup by (at least) next week. Observe:
3.16 Sandcastles in the Sand. The episode deals with "Revertigo", which is what happens when someone spends time around someone they once knew and start acting like the person they used to be back then. Robin gets it when she meets her old crush from her "Sandcastles" video (which Barney spends the majority of the episode searching for in a "Bourne Identity" style command center) We also get to meet Robin Sparkles' biggest fan.
3.17 The Goat. The episode will resolve the mystery around the goat in Ted's bathroom on his 30th birthday. Barney spends most of the episode trying to figure out how to break the news to Ted that he violated the Bro Code without spoiling his birthday.
3.18 Rebound Bro. Ted has "broken up" with Barney as a result of the fallout from Sandcastles in the Sand and The Goat, so Barney tries to move on by finding a new bro/Padawan to mold in his image (this is a direct quote from the episode page on Wikipedia)
Okay. Ted has a fallout with Barney because of the events of Sandcastles and The Goat? Could it be...hooking up with Robin at the end of Sandcastles? That would violate the Bro Code. True story.
But seriously folks...Barney/Robin has to happen. Pay attention to their scenes together...or even in the background of other scenes. Barney is totally in love with Robin and (at least as of The Bracket) Robin is a "little turned on" by Barney. I mean, come on...who isn't?
