Well January is over and with its expiration comes the expiration of the temporary registration for the Taurus.
We spent yesterday afternoon at the Jackson Ford Mercury dealer in Sutter Hill. We went to see what they had again, and make a purchase. Unfortunately the dealer lot they can pull repos from is closed on weekends, so we had to pick from what was there.
We test drove a 06 Ford Fusion, and a 08 Pontiac Grand Prix. The Fusion was nice but my two main complaints were that the v4 engine just didn't have the power I like, and the fact that my leg has to rest against whichever door I happen to be sitting next to.
The Grand Prix is a nice car. It's a v6, so the mileage is a little poorer than the Fusion, but for some reason it gives me the "big car feel" and I like that. There are plenty of gadgety things for Gary to play with, though no built-in bluetooth capability. It was a one year lease and has 28k miles under the hood.
Meet Zelda, the Pages' Nearly New Car!
Oh, and also meet Mercury, the cat who made sure all our paperwork was in order and kept warm.
Now we just have to pay.
