I hate that I can bust down a book in a day but a TV series can take weeks. Video is an inefficient medium for fiction. I want to absorb it and be done already and video takes so much fucking investment, drives me nuts. Audio isn't much better, I can read and listen to music, but I can't listen to an audiobook and do anything else, I don't have visualizations or anything to stimulate my spoiled multi-tasking eyes. I guess I could play games on my ds at the same time but what is the point of that? It is pretty rare I want to absorb audio stuff anyway. Last thing I bothered with was a Doctor Who radio play (labeled as an audio book, but only exists in audio form = play not book thank you very much). In short, I want to speed up the process of already having seen the media I enjoy. I watched Metropolis on 4x once, and watched a lot of Naruto just to figure out what people were babbling about on 8x for most, slowing to 2x for interesting fight scenes. Naruto wasn't worth my time even at 8x. I am baffled by a show where you can skip the first 30 episodes because they all get flashed back to so much. Ugh.

I'm weird.

The current thing I was working through was Farscape but my attention keeps wandering off because the show isn't that great no matter what sci-fi nerds claim. Instead I'm breezing through 30 Rock just because I can and it has good writing. I like watching TV shows for the longer plots but hate them all the same. I recently finished all of Home Movies for no real reason as well. I am unsure what show on netflix will be my next target.
