The heat broke a few days ago, but now it's coming back. Let's hope the rain keeps things fairly comfortable tonight.
Meanwhile, various road construction projects have conspired to make it nearly impossible to get in or out of my neighborhood without sitting in backed-up traffic for a while. Bridges out, lanes closed... every alternative has something wrong with it and even the detours are under construction. Going to work isn't so bad, but getting back is a nightmare. Why does this have to happen all at once? Aren't there people whose job it is to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen?
