X-files I Want To Believe so disappointing!
I want to believe there is more to the franchise than this movie!
So Ed took me to see the New X-files film (I want to believe) tonight. First off I am a huge X-files fan if you did not all ready know that. I was very surprised that on a Friday night and it being the big release day that there was only about 20 to 25 people in the theater....What happened to all the X-files fans? I was so excited for this film and I could not wait to see it. As a die hard fan I have to say that I was very disappointed in this film and the acting. This film was like a 2 hour X-files episode. There was none of that bizarre feeling that you get on the back of your neck when you get done watching the X-files.
Ed really never watched the series so we got the Revelations dvd so that he could become familiar with the series. Even he said that the Revelations dvd was better than the movie. I guess I just want to believe that this is not what we are left with as the die hard fans that we are for this series. I really do hope that Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz have another movie lined up that will answer all my questions about Scully and Mulder that have not yet been answered. I understand that this movie was ment to be a stand alone film and that is just what it is doing standing alone in the crap isle. Please let me know what you think of the movie....Am I the only one that feels this way? Disappointed.
