So, I haven't posted here much lately.

Not that I don't read things, I just go "should I post?" and my brain goes "meh". I don't seem to have anything to say, and I'm always in such an awful mood in the mornings when I wake up. I'm all sulky and depressing most of the time, which does not make for fun journal entries.

I haven't been doing much lately. Spending a lot of time at the Dragon's Hoard, my local game shop. Jim had decided he really wants to DM again and is trying to put together a game, but it's taking a long time hanging out and meeting people for him to get "in" with the group, you know? I mean, these gamers, most of them, have been playing with each other for a long time now, and that's cool, but it tends to make it harder for new people to become accepted and comfortable. It helps that 2 of our friends that we've recently become closer to actually work there. They've been doing the introduction thing, which would be much cooler for me were I not so awful about remembering names. And did I mention socially awkward? Yes, even amongst fellow gamers I am kind of stammery and ridiculous.

Supposed to be going to Harrisonburg tonight. There might be a movie involved. We got invited out by friends, but I'm not sure what we're doing. I do have to drive though because there's a weight limit on their car (apparently the Honda Fit doesn't function well with 1000 pounds of people in it). I hope they give good directions because I have never driven in Harrisonburg before, and Jim really hasn't either. I should clarify that when I say I'm driving, what I actually mean is that Jim will be driving my car.

Work is going ok. My boss has decided it's time for her to semi-retire since she's turning 70 and so we're in the middle of training one of her grandchildren to replace her. I honestly thought that was supposed to be why I was hired, but whatever. Someone needs to be in charge who can actually BE IN CHARGE, since most of what is lacking in the restaurant currently is good management. And Johnathan is a nice guy, who will be very good once he gets rolling. He's had previous kitchen experience (in the Navy) so he's picking stuff up a LOT quicker than I did.

It's graduation season, which means the restaurant is really busy, especially on the weekends, until all the colleges let out for the summer.

The Renaissance Faire has also started its yearly run, and I'm not sure if I'm going to make it or not. I'm tempted to just request off the last Saturday of the season, and if I can't go, oh well.

That's really all that's going on. I work, and I come home. End of story.
