I think I've been depressed and avoiding talking about some things, so I've been avoiding getting on LJ. My apologies.
My brother was recently granted full custody of his kids. Their mother turned back up in town long enough to get served again, but when she didn't bother to come to the custody hearing, my brother's petition was granted. I haven't seen him this happy or at peace in a long time. The kids seem to be doing well, too. Hayden likes his new school, and both he and Ava are enrolled in dance classes. I know they miss their mother, but they're probably doing as well as they possibly could, all things considered.
