Damn that husband of mine. He's making me want to go back to school. If only I could find a good school that offers a geology degree... *sigh*
The two of us are attending a murder mystery dinner hosted by another resident couple tomorrow night. Because of the Holidays and people being busy, I didn't get a description of our characters until today. I was at the hospital all day and need to go back this evening for a seminar that is part of my elective. I figured that I would call my husband, since he was done with school at two or three, he'd meet me at the hospital, we'd go shopping together for costumes for an hour, he'd drop me off at the hospital and, while I'm in class, he would get my oil changed since I'm driving out of town tomorrow and going quite a distance. But his phone kept ringing and the answering machine kept picking up. I figured that I would come home, wake him up from his nap, and we would still have 45 minutes of shopping. I got home, and he wasn't here. Weird. The last time that this happened, he got stuck at the computer lab at school with a computer science assignment. He failed to inform me of this fact, so I went looking for him, thinking that something bad happened to him. Today, however, is the first day of school, so I doubt that he got stuck at school.
Well, he did. Before starting my search, I decided to check my email. It said:
"I picked up another course today. Astronomy. I'll be home late, probably around 6:30PM-7PM. Don't worry, I didn't get run over by a reindeer or anything."
I guess that men can be taught after all. :-)
I took astronomy in high school. I actually liked it. Now I want to take the class with him! At least this means that we will finally be buying that telescope that we've been talking about acquiring since we've moved to Alberta (it's perfect in all those "middle of nowhere" places that I practice in).
