(no subject)
So I haven't updated since November. I guess I'm lazy. Either way, I'm pretty tipsy right now (well deserved), and a lot has happened. Here's the gist of it all:
- I'm way too busy. It's at an unhealthy level. I've lost touch with my friends (at other schools and here). I've got my close group of friends and that's about it at this point (they're like family to me, except for the boyfriend). Everyone at Emory is busy, it's ridiculous. Anyway, here are the highlights:
- classes are way more manageable this semester. No labs for the first time since before GSSM. Finally got into psych/NBB classes that interest me, big improvement.
- Boyfriend is good. Stressful at times, never get to see him (even busier than me). We work remarkably well together, despite a lot of things.
- Doing research again. This time it's in opthalmology. My mentor is hilarious and the project is really interesting (simulating glaucoma in mouse models and treating with bile acids). Working now (all free time gone) and will work this summer (hopefully I'll get the grant).
- Going to Australia this summer. Fuck yeah. Medical delegation for the International Scholar Laureate Program. AMAZING.
- Serious lack of a life. At least I'm done with all the pre-med requirements except for one.
- Spring break is next week. I've got a beach house with friends on the beach in Panama City, FL. It's going to be amazing. Beach, getting tan, relaxing, drinking. Perfection.
- Just finished the worst part of the week from hell, hence the drinking.

Oh, if anyone is bored and wants some entertainment, look at the gorgeous girls group on facebook at Emory. The number of uggos is very entertaining. Just goes to show you how many conceited wannabes we've got here. Be sure to notice the huge JAP population.
