She sat at the table, tired, drained, and emotionally exhausted. Not to mention the fact that she was so physically wiped she could barely lift her fingers to clean her gun. She felt heavy. When does her life become like this?
That was when he walked in. That was when he always walked in.
“You're ok?”
Risa looked up at him. His right outstretched hand clasped a glass of whiskey. She took it.
"Thanks," she said, swallowing the liquid in one go, "I needed this."
"You should go to bed," he whispered after finishing his own glass, "We have a long day tomorrow."
Then her gaze returned to him. No matter how empty the man was, she could see things through these green eyes that have always caught her. How did those eyes have so much warmth for being so dark ?

Dean didn't bother switching on any lights. He asked her if she wanted to change, but she denied his offer. He led her to her bed where she lay down closing her eyes. Pulling up a blanket around her, he turned to leave when he heard a feeble whisper coming from the semiconscious woman in the bed.
"Dean," she said so faintly that he had to lean closer to hear her properly, "I really appreciate you chose to put me in bed rather than sweet-talk Jane."
Sighing, he responded softly, "You're welcome."
Her eyes were still closed when she spoke again.
“You know why I trust you?”
“No. ”
“I don’t know exactly what happened to you to become like this but meeting "past you" was reassuring. It made me see it.”
“See what?”
“You’re a good man, Dean.”
He smirked “Good night, Risa"
"Good night" she mumbled absent-mindedly, and then promptly fell asleep.
