Paranoia is not fun. Kipstah and I have spent the whole day worrying about Emily--the missing kitten from the fire. Kipstah and I have both heard what we believed to be meows, Kip and Mum have both heard loud rustling in the patch of woods beside our house at separate times, two of the guests at the party said they thought they've heard meows a few times coming from the side of the house with the woods... And Kip and I have bloody combed the whole area to no avail. Either we're all being paranoid and hearing things because we're hopeful, or Emily is being silly and hiding. Heck, if she IS alive and hiding, she's a tiny black kitten with a little patch of white on her nose and mouth--she'd be hard to see in the trees, leaves, and bushes.

We're afraid to leave food out because it may just attract other miniature animals and maybe, if it does attract them, scare Emily off even further. So we don't know what to do, and I'm afraid to not be near a window in case I can hear something or perhaps glance out and see something.

Does anyone happen to know any tips as to how kittens act? Like, do they stick around their home, or go running about anywhere they can, or whatever? 'Cause Abby hasn't been a kitten in a long time and is a big outdoor cat. Emily, as far as I know, doesn't even have a collar and probably hasn't been outside so much. She was made out to be pretty helpless, ya know?

Ugh. I really, really, REALLY hope we find that she's okay. It would seriously be an amazing comfort to the neighbors to know that something precious and loved survived the fire.
