Who says you can -never- go back?

I’m home.
Surgery was WONDERFUL.

I can’t stress enough how I went to sleep on the operating table feeling old and broken and not ever wanting to move again- to waking up feeling 20 again, and I’m under my goal weight of 200 lbs.
No back pain.
I have back support! I have more mobility than I have in 14 years!
In fact in the hospital they took to calling me swartzaniger (sp?) because by 5 am the next morning I was walking the halls and helping other patients stay positive.

I was supposed to stay a week; they let me go in three days. - Not counting the two days I went in early for throwing up (I spent five days total)-damned liver/even its going to have no choice but to get better as I cut myself down then off of pain meds completely.

Now, I am still sore from the huge incision (in the abdomen) and all the cutting inside they had to do. I still have to take it easy, which means no cartwheels in the front yard just yet. (But they are coming.)
I have to take it very easy, and I’m still resting a lot, but when I am up, I’m ready to get back to life and doing the things I love best.
I’ll be limited physically for a couple more months, but as far as sitting at the PC, or talking on the phone from time to time, I have nothing but blue skies and free time ahead of me.

P.s. Also, those of you who sent cards, flowers, and phone calls (or took calls from Tom) YOU are my life’s blood. Thank you So much, and I love you!
