Does anyone else notice the trend these days of posting pictures of maimed, tortured, bloody, injured animals on Facebook? I just fear the people who need to learn to use them most are also the ones who care about others' feelings least.

Trufax, I think. This makes me lose hope for humanity on a daily basis. I know I post things that can be triggering without a trigger warning sometimes too, but I expect it more on Facebook than when I'm just wandering around Facebook and suddenly BOOM BUGS ALL OVER THIS TORTURED PUPPY!

It's icky too because I have beetles in my apartment. Not bedbugs (though that terrified me a few years ago when they first showed up and we had to test to see what they were) but this building borders the swamp and somehow that earns us lots of little beetle guys hanging around who sometimes make it into the apartments...about twice a day I get an itch on my arm that winds up being a beetle that I have to smush (so of course EVERY time I feel a tingle I convince myself it's a bug and freak out). We spray for them over the summer because they are worse then, and I have my windows open and they worm their way through the screen. And of course hornets build a nest on my balcony every summer and ants go marching one by one through my kitchen, and the apartment is basically very buggy every summer (though not as bad as the Clark Street house I lived in a few years ago). Bugs squick me out, yo.
