I started the job on Monday. It’s going well and is no where near as bad as I thought it could be. The people are friendly, which makes a real change from some of the previous places I have worked. The work’s straightforward, it’s basic audio typing, admin, answering phones and being on reception type things.
My evenings have been filled with revision, which is making my head spin. I hate having no free time to spend doing the things I enjoy, but I know it’s for the right reasons.
icedblaze and I spent Monday evening at De Montfort revising for a change of scenery. It’s so much nicer than ours!
I took Wednesday evening off from work and went to the cinema with
the_wookie69. We went and saw The Hills Have Eyes and left half way through. It was absolutely awful, and if anyone’s going to the cinema anytime soon, I seriously recommend -not- going to see that! It’s an utter waste of money as well as time.
Anyway, we came back from the cinema and Wookie got his telescope out. (No, really.) It was a really clear night, and you could see the moon crystal clear. We could also see Saturn with its rights, but unfortunately, we couldn’t see Mars or any of the constellations because of the amount of ambient light and the proximity of buildings on either side of his house.
I’ve managed to get a cold again, I have the worst timing for these kind of things and everyone’s always very helpful with the advice as to precisely how it should be cured. I wish I wasn’t as susceptible to illness as I have been over the last few months. I hate not being healthy and feeling run down.
I have to say though, I’m looking forward to going to the Old Horse on Tuesday for the quiz. I miss my friends who aren’t around for Easter, and I also miss seeing the ones in Leicester as with work and revision I’ve been awful at staying in contact recently. Having said that, I'm missing a couple of my friends from home such as
kelsicle and
woozy87 too.
