Yes, it's true! Kim Cattrall was in Police Academy and I think she looks completely different. I know the Police Academy films ater utter rubbish, but I have to say they make me laugh every time I see them (which is a lot considering how many repeats are broadcast these days).
Tonight was spent at the pub with Dani, Amy, Lyns and Dan. Twas the usual evening, especially as we had the pub to ourselves from about nine onwards. I have to admit I feel slightly unsettled after the evening. Dani's decided to have a girls night out on Friday; Friday when I'm not here. Maybe I'm being a little petty and/or self-centered, but as they're friends I thought as it's a girls night out and we very rarely (if ever) have any of those they'd maybe postpone it until I -was- here. Apparently not. Not only that, it turns out I'm the last to hear about it anyway, and even then it wasn't through anybody even asking me if I wanted to go, it was through Dani saying something to Lyns about it and me enquiring. Have to admit I'm a little hurt by that one; not sure whether it's because of the 'here we go again, plans without me' factor or the fact that Dani clearly had no plans to tell me about it. I always make an effort with my friends from home, to stay in contact while I'm away at university and then once I'm back. However, when I'm at university, it's very one-sided particularly on my part; and when I'm home it's almost like I'm the fly on the wall, especially when Rich and Tom are present. Bleh. Whine done.
Hopefully, *crosses fingers* I shall be seeing Jamie Cullum in November! He's playing at a venue in Leicester, which is literally five minutes away from where I live. Having said that, at the moment I'm having difficulty getting through to the De Montfort Hall box office. I literally sat on the phone all through my lunch break trying to get through. I'm working (reasonably) unsociable hours this week, and as Robbie of De Montfort Hall kindly reminded me in an e-mail reply to my enquiry about tickets - they're selling out fast.
I think this will probably be my last proper entry until next week. With the amount of hours at work, the rush to Nottingham, the rush back, somebody at work's leaving do and then my trip away this weekend, I doubt I'll have time to do anything let alone get online! Fingers crossed I'm not comatose by the time I get back to normality.
