Spent majority of the weekend holed up in my dorm, moping around, writing papers and generally mourning the sweet sunny days of yore in which I was more likely to picture a french dessert when I heard the name Lacan, rather than the image of me weeping quietly in a corner.
Feel slightly reminiscent of Mrs. Havisham. Couldn't tell you why. She just strikes me as someone pathetic, alone, and wanting so very badly to set a nearby building on fire.
In other news, it's been storming like crazy here!
Actually woke up at four this morning to see lights flashing rapidly through my blinds. Thinking aliens were descending upon us, preparing at any moment to leap from my bed screaming "so long, and thanks for all the fish!", I checked the window and was baffled to discover lightning. LIGHTNING, nonstop, with barely half a second in between each flash. It was absolutely incredible! I wish it was all happening now, later on in the day, when I could appreciate it -- instead of, you know, at four, in the morning, when I so dearly wanted to be in a near-comatose state of sleeeeeep.
But lah-di-dah, it's still pretty blustery and forbidding outside. Perfect weather for the first Monday in hell.
Mini dry erase board update:
29
until summer
To which I probably only contributed about fifteen so far.
But that will change, my friends.
That will soon change.
