Thinking thinking thinking...

Dear World

2003 would be remembered as the year of the blog. Do people still read this stuff? How can we even have the time for all this media? It seems realities truly are bleeding together and any such notion of a consensus was disgarded long ago. I can remember you breathing, fading, like a distant nebula.

Ready to give birth, Planet Earth? 2009 will change everything. It's too late for us.

Will machines rise or will technology fall? What cannot be stressed enough is the importance of avoiding grid-lock. If we are to maintain creative control of this project we cannot allow the externalization of the internet. Heard of WEB 2.0? Heard of RFID chips?

Now introducing, from the makers of SLAVERY INC, the same people who brought you the MONETARY SYSTEM we bring you: TOTAL SYSTEMS CONTROL! Why THINK when robots and computers can do it FOR US.

Ok, so basically here's the run down. The OLD internet looked something like this. IP address: 123.255.134.12
The new internet is something like this: 192.168.1.5.A.B.C.D. Meaning: Web 2.0 is HEX based and has virtually an infinite amount of IP addresses. (At least so many we will never run out of them any time soon)

What is being introduced and beginning right now is as follows. Manufacturers are installing RFID chips into all kinds of new products. Cellphones, mp3 players, laptops, fridges, stoves, etc. are the most obvious devices to be chipped. What is NOT obvious are products like clothing, tooth brushes, bikes, backpacks, batteries, lighters, lamps, food, etc. Basically you name it, we chip it. Why?

1) demographic and market research. Who bought what, when, where did it go, where is it now. Tracking spending patterns to create statistics and strategies to sell products faster and more efficiently. Kind of obvious.

2) the automization of life. the quantification of human behaviour patters and interactions. No need to think, we'll do it for you. Eg. Your running low on eggs, milk, and cookies. Your fridge checks in with your food supplies and says to your car: New Shopping List. You're driving home from work and an email in your car says "Your'e running low on eggs. Safeway has a sale on Dairy tonight only!"

And society becomes an even FASTER one way conveyer belt into a furnace!!! :D

This is what the voices in my head tell me we need to avoid. If we allow ourselves to be grid locked, an entirely self-contained system of automated reality, we remove the ability to evolve, grow, or change. Emergent behaviour may become impossible and all forms of true creativity and ingenuity will be stiffled.

We cannot allow this.

Anyways... 2009 will be remembered as the year we all began to wake up, in masses, rejecting the "Prefered Shoppers Optimal iRewards Best Buy" BULLSHIT! There was a time when it all seemed so closely within reach, but now everyone is grabbing at something better, not realizing what they already have, and the machine, the monster, becomes ever more real, ever more present, ever more imminent.

Well monster, I see you, and you can't win.

In fact, you have already failed. :)

Choose love, and be excellent to eachother!
