Okay update time

So in the last few days I have done a few things applied for a job and didn't get it. No bid deal! Truly, it was only for Thursday afternoons and would have been just like a supply job anyway. On the plus side I did have to update my references and in the end I had two highschool principals, an elementary teacher and a high school teacher. I can also ask another Elementary Vice-Principal if I feel the need...not too shabby huh? Oh, and I already have my first supply job so that bodes well for the year.

I've officially been made Pathfinder leader again this year. I apparently have a lot of gungho girls so this should be fun. There's a completely new program and I've just spent all day reading it and summarizing it. It's LONG! I have a few issues with it, but I also like parts of it very much. I guess only this year will tell how it works. My biggest issue so far was that the book cost $12.95!!! The old program books were only $5.95 so that’s a huge hike. They are spiral bound and on glossy magazine paper but I"m not sure if that's a good reason.

Finally, I went and saw Peter Pan tonight. It was being presented by the Young Company of the Georgian Theatre Festival in Meaford and it was really neat. They had brought a guy in from the States to teach the kids how to use the flying equipment so the characters actually did flying. They did a really good job. One of the funniest things about it was one of the Pirates. I don't knows idea it was, but this kid played Jack Sparrow...yep from Pirates of the Carribean. He was great, had the accent, swagger, hand motions, the whole thing down pat! He had some really good moments. I was very impressed. I went with my parents, Jackie (my youngest cousin) and Hailly (my youngest foster aunt's kid...so kinda cousin, she's really cute and very good). They enjoyed it too.

Well that's it for now. I'm doing more Pathfinder stuff this weekend and then reading the proposed Business plan for Meaford Hall...oh joy. Then it's back to work. How'd'ya like that for along weekend!
