"The captain took a wife!" Therefore, she must react by marrying her brother. Obviously. Hehe.

But let's be honest her people. You'd be jealous too if your Captain got married when you had plans for him in the future.

Death to the evil Yo'Saf'Bridg!

OH, yeah. That scene is huge. It's such a shame the episode was so long; it's sad when there's very little River at the beginning. Later, of course, she makes herself known.

Mal always is pretty oblivious. *loves*

She was just saying that Saffron was a theif, she was. Not for stealing her man, Mal's the captain, not a love interest. But Saffron WAS a ship theif.

Saffron's a thief of all kinds. Note how she likes to seduce the men before stealing their ship. She could have decked Wash from the beginning, but she tries her whole sexy myth routine instead, and only resorts to violence when that doesn't work.

I can't believe they didn't reinsert that scene in the DVD's.

Poor River. She takes comfort in the knowledge that other women may get her captain, but no one is ever going to supercede her place in Simon's heart.
