Just watching my DVDs of the Firefly series. Remember that episode "Our Mrs. Reynolds"?
There's a deleted scene for that in the DVDs on the very last disc. It has River wanting to marry Simon because she loves him and that's what love is all about, which is actually completely hilarious, and she also does interesting things with a pillow.
But what REALLY got me...
Was when Mal and Saffron come walking up, River takes one look at Saffron, calls her a "thief", and spends the rest of the conversation rolling her eyes and mocking her under every breath.
So...River tries to marry her brother, seeing how the Captain got married, and then she calls his wife a thief?
Jealous, much? I mean, yeah, the whole ship-thing, etc., etc., but there's just this look of such possessive and offended dignity in River's eyes when she glares at Saffron. Like, "Hey, that's mine! Give it back, or I beat you to death with my pillow, kthnxbai."
Mal, of course, is oblivious.
