He didn't want to voice it, but he was nervous as hell. Well he didn't care but he at the same time cared; indifferent. Yay graduation, boo being spat out into the real world. He had to admit, he was deathly scared of the future. High school wasn't kind to him at all, what the hell is real life gonna do to him.

Ruki was surrounded by fellow students with the same horrendous wardrobe that he was currently adorning; alike past graduates and future sorry bastards. Over priced and he'd describe the colors as a clash of puked up orange colored soda and dirtied lavender.

"I don't know who chose the school colors but I'm sure he was the ugly red headed step child of his family, if not a sadistic motherfucker." Ruki spat out while he yanked at his oversized gown and glared up at his tassel. His best friend Takashima Kouyou, better known as Uruha, grunted in agreement next to him.

Ruki was so glad his best friend sat next to him during graduation. It's hot, boring, and people were crying. Ruki was all kinds of uncomfortable right now, and if he was gonna be uncomfortable, he's at least bringing a friend down with him. And currently amongst the crying and flashes that happened now and then from the cameras every parent in this room wielded, the smarties were giving their speeches. All ten of them.

"We are like ferns, we finally sprouted and are ready for the big sunshine of the world."

"Oh, what the fuck." Uruha cackled at the comment made by the black haired man who currently had his head swung back on his seat.

"And as a group of well developed ferns, we must make a difference--"

"I think you've been smoking some real good ferns." Ruki off handly commented while he rolled his head back to face the stage. The whole side of the stadium Ruki was on gasped while Uruha cackled next to him. Ruki became wide eyes when he realized he was louder then he originally intended. Looking back on stage and seeing the dimpled Salutatorian frown while fidgeting with his speech papers made ruki's face crease with guilt. And then the whole class erupted in laughter.

"T-that is all. Thank you." The salutatorian who once smiled and strongly looked out into the class never made eye contact back out onto the crowd and rushed back to his seat. The laughters died down while Ruki's guilt grew by the second. The valedvictorian's speech, the class song, the slide shows, everything ruki numbly listened to and rehearsed over and over in his head the apology he was going to give Yutaka, he believed that to be his name. Ruki suddenly jolted when his row stood up.

"Dude." Uruha whispered to him.

"Yeah. Sorry. I know." He answered as he stood up and walked out along with his row, getting ready to walk across the stage to get the decoy diplomas.

One by one his row decreased and getting closer for his name to be called.

"Dude, I'm so fucking excited." Uruha beamed as he fidgeted infront of the distraught dark haired male.

"Mmm. Yeah." Ruki mumbled.

"Man. I know you don't give a shit about this but at least fake it. For me." Uruha pouted his infamous already naturally pouty lips at the the shorter man behind him.

"Fine." Ruki finally laughed and cheered for his friend whole heartedly while he was called across stage.

As Uruha was called across stage Ruki suddenly felt a jolt of being watched and quickly turned around to see a blonde with a mowhaux glare at him.

"The fuck." Ruki mouthed as his smile quickly vanished and was replaced by several lines to his forehead.

"Psst. Takanori, you're up."

Ruki internally hissed at his given name being used. Quickly pushing the scowl across his face, he smiled for his friend and walked onto stage. When he took the decoy diploma and shook hands with the principal of the school, he noticed one glum face in the top ten that were seated on stage. Reminded of the situation that occured earlier, his smile dropped and walked off of the stage and headed back in line in front of Uruha. Gripping the decoy diploma in hand, he restarted to resite the apology he was going to deliver.

"Smile!" Uruha beamed while yanking Ruki near him by wrapping his arms around his neck. Ruki was quickly blinded by a flash from a camera and spotted the Takashima's wave at him frantically. This was followed by series of flashes until he got back to his seat.

"God damn the Takashima women." Ruki huffed as he rubbed at his eyes.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Forgot to mention they're all here."

Ruki came to an abrubt stop at his actions and sucked in a breathe.

"What do you mean they're all here."

"I mean that Kaneko is with mom on the East wing, Sayaka is on the West wing with her college girlfriends, Mai and Akane are on the North end, and Hikaru and Ayumi are on the South end ie next to you." Ruki quickly flipped his head towards the south end and felt a flash and the all too familiar giggles from the stands.

"My god, they're everywhere." Ruki stated with wide eyes as he looked at his knees.

"Yep, we are covered from all angled." Uruha stated nonchalantly while making a hand camera and facing it towards Ruki.

"There's no escape."

"Already on it bro. I calculated that after they start playing the graduation march to walk out, we dip quickly into the boys locker room and bam. They can't get us."

"Yeah, but they can still wait dumbass." Ruki snorted.

"Do you doubt me shorty."

"You want to dip into a smelly room with one door, yes I'm doubting you and your ideas."

"Gasp. That hurts. but what you don't know is that there is a door in the back of the room that will lead us to the school parking lot."

"And you would know this how?"

"My little escapades with a hot wrestler."

"I'm going to stop you right there." Ruki waved his hands infront of his face as clear sign to stop.

"Oh but sugar plum, I thought you enjoy story time with me.

"They hell I do!"

"You mean you don't live vicariously through me?" Uruha put his hands to his chest to better show up his fake disappointment.

"Don't make me gag Takashima."

"It'd match our gowns. What the hell, spew away young one."

Ruki squinted his eyes and lowly growled at Uruha as the honey blonde laughed. Ruki couldn't retort back to the honey blonde as the class stood up to walk outside to throw the caps.

"Mission dip-from-the-Takashima-women is a go."

One by one the class stepped out of the stadium, down a hall to go outside. As Ruki's row was about to walk out into the hall way, he felt that familiar jolt that someone was watching him. Looking at the bleachers he spotted the same blonde glaring killer daggers at him.

"Psst bro. See that blonde up there." Ruki whispered back has he walked.

"Yummy."

"Pay attention will you." the black haired male spat shortly after rolling his eyes at the honey blonde's response.

"Alright. Alright. What?"

"You think he's pissed at me or pissed in general."

"I'm sensing a little animosity."

"Uruha!"

"A lot. Alot of animosity. And it's aimed at you yep. What'd you do?"

"How the hell should I know, I've never met him in my life!"

"Don't let it bother you, we're about to dip in T minus ten." Uruha announced as they stepped into the hallway, away from the eyes of friends and family.

"This day totally bites." Ruki all but growled as he yanked his cap off and threw it in the trash.

"Hey hey it's an event for our famil--sorry." Uruha apologized noticing his friend's shoulder to tense.

"It's fine." The dark  haired male flipped facing the honey blonde and smiled. "You have your family, go see them. I'll dip on my own."

"Ru, I didn't me--"

"Bro. It's fine. I know you've been wanting to see your sisters. Go." Ruki smiled and pushed his friend.

"Okay. See you later though, alright?"

"Definitely." Ruki answered as he quickly jumped out of line into the boy's locker room door.

Leaning on the door for a second, he closed his eyes to better gain his composure. Pressing his hands aggressively onto his teary eyes he laughed a breathy laugh. After successfully pushing back the tears he kicked off the door to search for the exit. He walked by rows and rows of lockers and suddenly heard a sound. He stopped his steps and listened to see if he truly did hear something. Then suddenly he heard the all too familiar hiccup and sniffing that comes with crying. Ruki listened more carefully to identify where the noise was coming from. He ended up at a random row of lockers and saw the one and only dimpled salutatorian that he insulted earlier.

If his heart could shatter, it just did. Ruki stood frozen infront of the blacked haired man curled up on the bench with his head buried between his knees. He wanted to walk up and start apologizing but he couldn't move. He always had a problem with people crying. Not because it was disgusting but because he didn't know what to do. Ruki always lived by 'suck it up and get over it' that he doesn't know any words of comfort.

"Are you just going to stand there and watch me cry."

Ruki jolted at the sudden nasally voice the cut through the air.

"I-"

"I mean you obviously couldn't keep your mouth shut during the ceremony. I'd expected you to crack a joke to console me."

Ruki met the blood shot tear stained face of the Salutatorian.

"You know I worked hard to earn my spot in the class rank." The dark haired male sniffed. "And what, look at what you're wearing.  A regular cap and gown. No stole and no ropes. What have you accomplished!" he screamed.

Ruki lowered himself to take a seat on the edge of the bench the distraught dimpled male was currently sitting on.

"Well! Don't mind me! Take a seat! I mean it's not like you just ruined all these years of hard work with one sentence. Which by the way, was a part of my speech. Don't let other's ruin your day just because of a few badly put together words spewed by an asshole like you!"

Ruki never broke eye contact and just sat there quietly letting the male vent.

"And I should be taking my own advice right now but god damn it, it hurts! Did you even think for a second that there are other people around you! The world doesn't revolve around you! Grow up! Ha! Another part of my speech that I didn't get to read! Don't think the world revolves around you yourself you dumb fuck, it's all about team work! The wording was a bit different but basically that's what I wanted to say!" Kai continued to shout at Ruki while wringing the speech papers in his hands.

"Hello! Is anybody in there?! Of course not! Just stare at me you mindless drone! I well knew my class wasn't bright and filled with heartless idiots like you but guess what?! I cared! I'm an idiot and I care too much! This semester kicked my ass and dropped me out of the top ten but I worked my ass off the last month to gain my position back in the top ten so I'd have the chance to give a speech! A speech that will warn and advice my dumbass class to give respect to get respect! Have basic morals! Think before you fucking speak!" Kai glared and spouted the last sentence to better emphasize as if to mention it to a certain dark haired male.

"But you...you ruined e-every...thing." And Kai's angered died along with Ruki's voice and started to cry whole heartedly.

Ruki then started to scoot himself towards Kai and wrapped his arms around Kai. He didn't know what he was doing but he started 'shhhing and cooing at Kai while swaying side to side and waited for Kai to cry everything out.

After waling turned into sobbing and then to hiccups Ruki decided to speak.

"Wow."

"I know." Kai laughed at Ruki's words.

"But feel better right?"

"Much."

Then silence fell again but this time a comfortable silence as Ruki started to play with Kai's hair unconsciously.

"I am sorry." Ruki sincerely apologized.

"I forgive you." Kai answered after a few moments.

Ruki stopped all movements and let go of Kai to face him.

"You're really nice man."

"I know." Kai sighed.

"You can clock me a couple of times if you want."

"No, no it's fine. Screaming at someone was already a new experience for me. I've had enough experiences for a day." Kai giggled.

"I can take a rain check." Ruki joked

"Nah, I'm good." Kai joked as he pushed Ruki's shoulder's lightly. "By the way, my name is Yutaka but I go by Kai." Kai introduced himself by flashing his bright smile at Ruki.

Ruki blushed at the cutest smile he's ever seen and answered back.

"My name's Ruki. Nice to meet you." Ruki genuinely smiled for the first time today at Kai.

"They're about to go throw the cap and gowns, you should go." Ruki said as he pulled the dimpled man up and straightened his cap and gown for him.

"Yeah! Come with me!" The dimpled man beamed at Ruki.

"No, I'm good but you go. Don't make me miss two of your high school experiences." he smirked at Kai.

"Ha ha very funny. Ok. See you Ruki." Kai waved shyly as he rushed out of the locker room.

'so cute' ruki thought to himself as he turned to find the exit. When he looked down he saw a cap laying there and picked it up.

"Oh wait." he laughed, "I threw mine away. This must be K--FUCK!"

Ruki rushed out of the locker room towards the field where everyone was getting ready to throw to their cap and gowns. Totally forgetting about the bubbly Takashima sisters, he ran out and weaved in and out of the crowd of parents to get to the field.

"Kai! Kai!" he shouted as he waved the cap at a distraught looking dark haired man.

Kai noticed his name being call and switched around and flashed his dimpled killer smile as he saw Ruki with his cap and gown.

Ruki heard the countdown for the cap throwing and quickly flung it at Kai who caught it and winked at Ruki, making his thump with joy. Ruki watched as the sky was littered with the ugly orange/lavender caps and it oddly seemed beautiful to him. He craned his neck to look up at the sky to better view the descending caps, he was disrupted by a hand on his shoulder that spun him around to face the same angry blonde that was glaring at him in the stadium.

"What the fuck bud-" But Ruki couldn't finish his words as he received a brutally painful punch to the nose. Ruki fell to the ground as he clutched at his blood spewing nose and stared wide eyed at the blonde above him.

"That's for my brother motherfucker." The blonde exclaimed as he leaned down towards Ruki.

"Reita!" Ruki saw a distressed looking Kai shout as he ran towards his way.

Looking down and seeing all the blood made Ruki queasy. All Ruki remembers from then is leaning over to the side and emptying his guts then the world went black.
