This has been a busy week.
Things at work have been ok, however, I have not been able to get a raise and the pay just is not working. So, I went on my second interview for a position with a dance company on Tuesday. The company is Dancewave. They are a very well known company in NYC and they're looking for an Admin Manager. Essentially I would be handling all of their grant writing, permits, budgeting, etc. This is something I have been trying to get into for a while because it is something I really love and has lots of potential for growth. I only have about two years of grant writing experience, so that isn't the best. But I think they were really impressed with me.
Yesterday was Richard's birthday. Yay! I got him these really great Calphalon pans that he's been eyeing and an Aerogarden. Then I baked him a birthday cheesecake and we went out to dinner at Tamarind. It's a really great little Indian restaurant on the Upper West Side. We had lots of things I can't pronounce and it was fabulous! Then it was home to eat the cheesecake and have some crazy expensive wine.
Today we were going to go on a tour of the Brooklyn Brewery, but the weather is YUCKY! So we're staying in and I'm going to sew.
Everyone should keep an eye out for some fun winter clothing items! I have decided to start off slow and just sell a few pieces and see where it goes. Mostly hats, scarves and jackets. Pics up in about a week!
