(no subject)
Hey.
It's been a good month so far. Really cold the last week or two but starting to warm up slightly. :) I've been working a whole lot, but they said no more overtime, so I've been working just my full 40 hours. People are mostly done returning their Christmas stuff, so the work has been less hectic and a little easier.
I learned yesterday that turning in used video games and movies is pretty much useless. I turned in some of the games and movies that I never use any more, and I got hardly anything for them! I got $16 and change from FYE, which was just enough to get 2 anime DVDs...some were buy 1 get 1, plus they were on sale from $26 to $12.49, so I suppose it's still a good trade. :) FYE wouldn't even take back a movie I had for the PSP, I had to take is to a video game store, and even then I only got $3 for it. The lamest thing was when I turned in a brand new copy of LOTR: The Two Towers (still in the plastic and everything), and only got 50 cents for it! I suppose I should have paid attention when the lady was ringing it up. Next time I am selling my old junk on Ebay or taking it to a pawn shop.
Joe is doing well. He's been working lots too. He is really antsy to get our taxes done. He is hoping that after we get our tax refund and my bonus from work, we can apply for a home loan from the state. The state is awesome because they can help people with lower incomes get home loans with no down payment- all we'd need to pay is closing costs and some small fees. Not sure what will happen with it though. We know what part of town we like but we'll see in time, I guess. :)
Cats are good too. Furry and purry and full of claws, as usual.
Not much happening in the near future here. Mostly lots of work. tootles.
