[Video/Action - Violet City Pokemon Center]

Jul 02, 2011 19:11

[There is some amount of commotion when the video feed comes on. Presumably because the gear had been set hastily aside to deal with the source of it. The interior of a pokemon center can be seen, and just out of sight of the camera there's a flailing of purple and pale blue.

If the soundtrack for this scenario had to be described it would sound ( Read more... )

shaman, belphe, goddamn dittos, eggs

[A ditto... He supposes he'll have to keep an eye out for that Pokemon when he does travel to Violet himself, seeing as the Ditto is clearly not hers - Dittos are supposed to be relatively difficult to find, so if he had the opportunity to obtain one out of the wilds, he ought to take it. That's to say if it'll still be there by the time he gets there, of course.]

[Meanwhile, though - the present situation at hand. He clearly recognizes Belphegor as the one who took care of L during his soulless time, and also as a person that has some sort of relation - perhaps a sister? - of Asmodeus, who he had spoken to just a while ago. The question is, though, how should he approach the Stake? No doubt L's attention would be caught if he spoke to her about the matter, and making it a private conversation would make himself suspicious to Belphegor, as well... A casual conversation, perhaps? Nothing wrong with greeting his caretaker, after all.]

It's interesting to actually see how Pokemon breed, for the first time. [whimsically, a tone of amusement]

[her eyes flicker up from the clipboard, looking for who's addressing her, before they fall on the pokegear in the crook of her arm. Had it been on...? She sighs, setting down her pen to situate the screen properly]

I think I've seen more of it than I care to.

[...and there's not even much to look at. Even when you're watching them directly they have this slight-of-hand way of there being nothing one minute, and an egg the next]

[just like some odd kind of censorship, huh. Pokemon wouldn't have been an all ages game otherwise... Heh.]

I take it you've been here for a while, then. [a friendly smile, as usual]

A few months. Four, I think. [It's hard to keep steady track what with entire weeks mysteriously vanishing on this world's whim]

Are you a newer piece?

[piece...? What does she think this world is? A chessboard?... Then again it could be possible to relate any world or situation to a chessboard, he supposes. Meanwhile, though, he'll just take note of the fact that she's been here a month longer than L has, suggesting that they definitely didn't meet upon arrival, at New Bark. How, then...?]

[He'll figure it out eventually, he's sure.]

A newer piece...? I suppose you could say that. I've only been here a little under a week.

I see~ You'll find it isn't hard to understand this world once you start progressing in it.

[she tells him, her tone completely neutral despite the reassuring sound of the statement as she reaches up to rub at her eyes.

[he's already figured all that out, but he's not going to be rude about it~]

I see. That's good to hear.

You look tired. [plainly, a vague tone of concern - or at least, as concerned as any stranger can possibly be to another]

Not at all. [she answers easily enough. Maybe with mild defiance as if deflecting such statements is almost a second nature to her. ....mostly because where she comes from, noting that she looks tired is never an indicator of concern but a veiled accusation that she's not doing her job well enough.

Which is every reason to bat the conversation neatly back in his direction]

Have you come here alone or do you have people here that you know?

[he note this, of course - no normal girl (that he knows of) would simply deny their fatigue, but would perhaps give the reason, be it a real or fake one, for it. Or at least, say something along the lines of "don't worry about it".

He'll just go with the flow, then.]

Just one other person. But it doesn't look like he appreciates my presence here at all.

[The fact of the matter is, Belphe could be at death's door and still insist on bringing everyone their afternoon tea if she's able to walk. She simply will not accept weariness as something that should apply to her.]

Oh? Even under these circumstances? How unfortunate.

['tis quite the unique lady, then, he'll think. But what he doesn't know is that this girl is in fact not human, but was merely 'made' this way by the place. To be certain, he doesn't even know anything about non-humans being turned human here. Yet.]

It's puzzling, too, considering we were in fairly good terms as far as I remember.

[now to trick a bit of information out of her... But he wouldn't want L to know he's been finding out about him and the people, so... To make it as natural as possible, the privacy filter goes up at this point, ensuring that the conversation appears to have ended here in a fairly natural tone - she wouldn't necessarily have anything more to say to that, after all.]

[Here's hoping that she wouldn't notice the filter going up, and that L isn't exactly going to her anytime soon... Not that it would matter much if L found out, really - it's just to save himself an unnecessary conversation with L again.] Would you happen to know him, I wonder? He goes by the name 'Rue Ryuzaki'.
