Denver is a ridiculously pleasant and easy place to live in. I feel like I am getting too soft - there is very little to fight for. Is it just me or living in any other city after New York will seem so effortless and carefree? I cannot really find any major irritants, distractions and annoyances. People are very friendly, at least those that I run into. There is plenty of space, sky, light and things to do, and people look very mellow.
On Saturday morning, I attended a photography workshop (which did not exactly turn out to be what I expected, but hey, it turns out there are a bunch of those photography events in Denver, I'll just have to find one that fits me). Afterward, I joined some other girls at the chocolate tasting event and a brunch which included a bloody mary. Later P. and I drove around the city exploring a certain Denver neighborhood that could be a potential place to live (Lakewood). On Sunday, after brunch, we hit the Cherry Creek bike trail for 3 hours of biking with a stop at Starbucks to warm up, and later had dinner at a Japanese soup place. I mean, is this normal? I don't believe the rest of the world lives like that. The last thing I want is to jinx it, but I cannot help but wonder...
P.S. Some pics taken at the photography workshop yesterday. Even the birds seem to be happy here.
