I said I wanted to get laid... not laid off!

It was bound to happne sooner or later I guess. I saw my co-workers crying all afternoon as small groups of us were taken into the manager's office, and when it was my turn I found out why. Lay offs. We've got about 125 people in my department right now. Seems that for the rest of December they only want to have 90, so they're doing an ( Read more... )

What a horrible thing to do right before the holidays too. I never understood companies in that aspect. At least wait until January. Keep up the good spirits. *hugs*

Yeah, it is really bad timming. Especially since most of the young women that I work with have kids, and very few of them have help taking care of those kids.

This sucks, and timing sucks even more. No-one is safe. I'm only on a short-term contract but I bet my permanent colleagues are worried too.
