Wasting my three day weekend...

May 29, 2007 12:06

Well, not really wasting, per say, but today is the second day in a row that I haven't left the house. Although I may make a run later to get the mail and stop at the Jack in the Box on the corner. But, hey, it's 100 degrees out! I don't see why I should walk in the heat when I have no reason to go out, no erands to run, and everything that I need is inside *LOL* But tomorrow I'll be out and about. I think I've told you guys this, but my brother and I get paid on opposite weekes, and so we take turns treating each other to lunch on payday. Tomorrow's his day.

So, what have I been doing? I've nearly finished my Hansel and Gretle story. It turned out way longer than planned. Seems to happen to me a lot lately.

I've been reading. Aside from fanfics on the web (I'm into Kenshin and WK this week it seems) I've read two mangas. First was vol.1 of "Black Sun, Silver Moon". It was cute, the art was nice, so I might read the next volume. Wasn't the most amazing thing ever though. Anyone else read this series? Want to tell me if it's worth sticking with? I also read vol.1 of "Yaoi Anthology" from YP. Some of the stories were only so-so, with so-so art, but the Deliverance story at the end was top notch. Very pretty art. Very hot, too.

I've also been doing the anime thing. I have a stack of DVDs waiting to be watched. Seriously. It's starting to get tall enough to topple! I started with vol.1 of "Princess Princess". So cute! Now I know why everyone was talking about this one. I wish I'd just downloaded it to start with (although I'm one of those people who has to have the offical DVD with the case and everything, regardless of the ability to DL for free on the net) and I might go looking for more episodes today. Then I watched the OVA of "Mirage of Blaze". Believe it or not, I got this DVD for Christmas of 2005! And I've never watched it! I loved the first 13 TV episodes. And then afterwards I went and read the summaries/net translations of the novels. When I found out how it all ends I just felt kind of depressed about the OVA I guess. Plus, you have to be in the mood for angst to watch MoB, right? I loved it though, now that I've finally watched it.

I've got the rest of WK, vol.1 of "Gakuen Heaven", and the entire box set of "Loveless" sitting there waiting to be watched now. I also have more work on my beastiary on FFXII to finish and my brother lent me Devil May Cry II. Plus I've got three mangas, the "Gravitation" novel, and a Nightside novel waiting to be read. Think I can keep myself occupied til Thrusday morning?

I'm off to write now. Wish me luck!
