CW33 Hot Topic TVD Prize Package
From my previous journal entry, you know I was lucky enough to be one of the five winners of The CW 33/Dallas' Meet and Greet the stars of The Vampire Diaries contest. The station folks told me on Saturday that I would be receiving a prize package in the mail, since there was too much chaos at Hot Topic on Saturday. Thank you for not making the five of us carry that stuff around in the Mosh Pit!
The prize package arrived from Warner Brothers today. I was excited (again...still...duh)! I was really expecting something from the local station, but it came from Warner Brothers in CA! I felt important (in my own tiny little way). Brought the box inside like I was afraid it would explode! I slit open the tape really carefully--inside was a gift box wrapped in Warner Brothers paper!
Some poor clerk in the shipping department had actually hand-wrapped it, because you could tell somebody had taped it by hand, not machine wrapped. Well, I don't have to tell you I opened it like it was the Crown Jewels!
Oh, the suspense! Plain white box inside, opened it up, dark blue tissue paper--classy! Warner Brothers put together a fabulous prize package, which I wasn't even expecting when I entered the contest!

A copy of the hot-selling and much watched TVD Season 1 DVD set
A copy of the just-released TVD Season 1 soundtrack--we were serenaded by Sounds Under Radio, featured on the CD, at the Q&A session
A Salvatore Brothers WalkInTheSun Ring on a chain--Well, at least I can go outside in the daytime now!
Sorry, folks, there was NOT a Salvatore hidden in the box!
The best part of being one of the contest winners was getting to meet Ian and Candice, getting @CAccolaweb's scrapbook to Candice, closely followed by meeting all the Tweeters of the TVD Family in the Texas area.
I tweeted with one of the other winners this evening, @Hartley129, and hers was identical. Just thought I'd share with you guys!
