Hello Pneumonia
So the Sunday before yesterday I got a really bad cough. But I figured it was probably just a little cold. But then it never went away. And sunk deeper and deeper into my chest. So I went to the doctor today, hoping they'd be able to do something for me. The doctor really seemed to be totally unconcerned though, she said she didn't hear anything in my chest, and sent me to get some x-rays just in case, but said she didn't expect they'd see anything there. She told me to do all the things I'd be doing all week (mucinex, cough drops, lots of fluids). I was pretty upset. I wanted to hear at least SOMETHING I didn't already know.
Then a few hours later they called and said the x-rays showed I had pneumonia. And apparently the doctor "knew all along". Whatever. At least now they're actually giving me antibiotics. I was nervous I was looking at another couple of weeks of the same thing. They said to take Tuesday and Wednesday off of work, but hopefully I can go back Thursday fully cured.
