More catching up.
1. When Was the Last Time You Did Something That Scared or Challenged You? I've had to do many things that scared or challenged me over the past few months.
2. Do You Ever Talk About Issues of Race and Class With Your Friends? Not really. I used to with S though.
3. Is College Overrated? I think it might be for some people, because some people are less academically-inclined than others and could benefit more from a more practical/technical education.
4. Do You Set Rules for Yourself About How You Use Your Time? Yes. I try to be productive earlier in the day and then I let myself do less useful things in the afternoon.
5. Can You Be Good Without God? Of course.
6. How Are Were You and Your Parents Alike and Different? My parents were farmers and I never wanted to be and never was a farmer. My mother was very driven about housework and I usually do as little of that as I can get away with. My mother was extremely talkative and I'm very quiet.
7. What Did You Once Hate but Now Like? When I was young, up until I was in my 20s I guess, I very much disliked the taste of extra sharp or mature cheddar cheese. Now that's the only cheese I really enjoy.
8. If You Were a Super Rich Philanthropist, What Causes Would You Support? All forms of medical care for women.
9. At What Age Should Children Be Allowed to Go Places Without Adult Supervision? What Age Were You When You Were Going Places By Yourself? I don't think this is an all-or-nothing question. I think kids can be allowed graduated amounts of independence as they grow, perhaps starting around nine or ten when they can go short distances from home alone, such as to a nearby friend's house. When I was growing up I couldn't go places by myself because we lived on a farm 16 miles from the nearest town and I was dependent on my parents to drive me places. My sisters and I did spend quite a lot of time riding our bikes up and down the road past our farm though. I didn't get my driver's licence until I was 18 and then I was allowed to drive the family car to town by myself.
10. Does Your Life Leave You Enough Time to Relax? I don't have a job, so yes.
