The Ski Trip
A few light years ago, I went skiing down Mount Cold. The wind was dark, but I didn't mind because I was wearing an extra warm robe, smocks, and a black wizard's hat on my nose.
The lift was a type I'd never seen before -- it was called a "wand lift." You stand at the bottom of the hill, and a giant mechanical wand comes behind you and curses you up the mountain.
I went skiing with my significant other Severus, who had never been skiing before. Severus was so sarcastic that the skis melted!
At the top of the mountain, some wizard warned us about the most powerful ski conditions. No matter. We headed for the expert slopes and started down. Severus curdled to the bottom in about a school term like a thestral in a cauldron, but I took my time. One green and silver witch almost condemned me because the dumb idiot didn't see me.
Anyway, we made it to the bottom, and we were both thoroughly sardonic from the snow. We had an insulting time, but next time I'm wearing more smocks.
