[Milo Ventimiglia. Atsushi Sakurai]
[Their Houses]

[continued from Solo]
Atsushi silently slipped of his bed and across the room. He took his phone in his hand and glanced at the display as it continued to ring. When he saw Milo's name, his lips curved in to a small smile and a few butterflies fluttered in his stomach. He answered, "Hey," in a warm tone, different from his usual greeting.
Milo froze up. His lips were dry, he was so incredibly nervous. What did one say at a time like this? “At…Atsushi?” He knew it was him, he recognized his voice…
..but..
He felt like he had to make sure, he was double checking himself, he didn’t want to make a mistake.
He couldn’t help but wonder if he already had.
"Yes.. Milo?" Atsushi had seen the name on the display but he felt the need to ask because of the other man's doubt as to who he was. "How are you doing?" Atsushi wandered about his room, not sitting down with the phone pressed to his ear. Eventually he slipped on a cotton yukata over his mostly bare skin.
“I…” the words couldn’t come out. What had he wanted to say? Had he ever known?
Was it that he wanted to try it?
“I.. … …” his voice grew softer. “want to give it a chance.” He bit his lip. “I’m just… scared.” God he sounded pathetic. Wasn’t he a man, wasn’t he an American man who played sports and had a ripped body?
He guessed it meant nothing when it came down to personality.
Atsushi held his breath, carefully replaying Milo's words in his head over and over. Each time they seemed a little more real and he... didn't know what to say. "I... I don't want you to be scared... I want you do be happy."
Milo blushed brightly at the words. “It’s j-just really new,” he stuttered out. “I think I might like you… but I’ve never liked a guy before.” He was growing even redder. He was really glad that they were over the phone and not in person… he might have died from embarrassment.
Atsushi grunted and sat back down on the edge of his mattress, running his fingers through hair. "That's alright," he said, chewing on his lip for a little bit. "It always has to be new once..."
“So… ..what will happen?” Milo curled up more and let his hair fall into his face. Would they be just fooling around? Going out? Or maybe nothing at all would change.
…Milo didn’t know what to expect, he kind of hoped that Atsushi would have all the answers.
"...I know what I want to happen," he said, "but that depends on what you want, too." He let himself fall backward on the bed. His feet were still planted on the floor and he sighed.
Something fluttered inside of Milo and he blushed brightly. He had no idea what Atsushi wanted, but he knew it had to involve himself somehow. “I.. .. want to try us out but I want to go slow.” Slow so he wouldn’t freak out and run away before he could really try this out and see if he licked it as much as he seemed to.
"Then that is what I want," Atsushi mumbled. Although he knew he would want to move faster than Milo desired he wouldn't want to make the younger man uncomfortable in a situation that already was. "We'll go slow, I promise."
Milo blushed, but couldn’t help but smile a little. “Okay.. …what does that make us?” He chewed on his lip a little. Did it mean that they were boyfriends?
The thought was so foreign to Milo’s normally pin straight mind.
"It makes us... pleanty of things, I suppose." Atsushi said, scratching his stomach and swinging his feet a little. As he spoke, his lips curved into a wide smile that he was quite sure could be heard some how through the phone. "Ah... partners... lovers... mm boyfriends?" Atsushi actually didn't date a lot of men, but he was happy this was happening. For once... what he really, really wanted was happening. He only hoped it didn't go badly right away.
Milo was at the peak of his blushing as he nodded, almost forgetting that he had to verbally reply for Atsushi to get it. “Okay..” He smiled a little. “I guess we should make plans to see each other again?”
A date..? Often he had said the same things to girls without this much embarrassment .
"What kind of things do you like to do on dates?" Atsushi asked. He wanted Milo to be as comfortable as possible on their... their first date. He smiled.
“Well in America I took girls to see movies and out to dinner and stuff, I don’t know how it really works here..” Milo felt kind of giddy, and nervous at the same time. He felt like it was almost wrong, but then again was it really? Japan seemed to be less annoyed by such things, but then again Japan was a very hypocritical country.
He was smiling rather wide though.
That must mean that he was happy.
Atsushi laughed it was mostly the same, wasn't it? "Well can go to movies... or dinner... if you like that." He tried very hard not to be forceful but he knew also that in the beginning he would have to take charge in their relationship.
Milo continued to grin. “I guess dinner would be nice…” He blushed as well. Was he getting to excited? Maybe.. “In like a week maybe?” He could concentrate on work a bit then, instead of worrying about this new sort of relationship.
"Sure," Atsushi said, smiling mores still. "I.. can pick you up.. and stuff." Smooth. "We can go somewhere.. really wonderful." Because he wanted it to be perfect.
“Okay,” Milo replied, still blushing. “I guess we’ll call each other again next week?” He felt so relieved now for some reason.
“Yeah," Atsushi said, "I'll call you a later, then, Milokun." Again he sat up and stood. He started pacing around the room, a goofy grin plastered across his face.
