strage dreams and broken alarm clocks
My alarm had failed to go off the past two mornings (both of which I had someplace to be at 8am). Fortunately my mother is an obnoxiously early riser and has gotten me up but I hate having her wake me up never the less. Tuesday I could have sworn it went off and I hit snooze and it never came back on, but the more I think about it the more I think I imagined that (but at the time it nevertheless convinced me it was my error). I have since replaced the battery and am hoping its still functional and the alarm feature didn't randomly decided to snuff it.
Today I managed to study just under three hours of microbio. I think tomorrow I should be able to fit in around five. I'm really hating myself for only having this one class to study for and not studying for it. I'd like to make the excuse for myself that I'm working two jobs and studying is exceptionally unappealing when all one wants to do is veg and go to bed. I have other ducks I need to line up too. I feel like I play personal assistant to myself.
Running behind from day two of the broken alarm clock I forgot my water at home and had to pay $1.62 at the hospital for a god damn 20oz bottle of water. I was so pissed, then to add insult to injury, right after I bought the URinflation water I was able to snag a free bottle of "Aetna" water from the damn health fare thingy.
While studying by myself in Carlson today (with my glasses off) I had a girl come up to me and ask if I was their clac workshop leader (it seems like there was suppose be a workshop in that second floor room that the TA person didn't show up to). Do I really look that much more like 22 than 18? It really made me wonder how old I look.
Additionally today in micro, this kid asks if something "will be on the exam tomorrow," and my microbio Prof, (who’s like 65, has a merry twinkle in his eye and likes to liberally use shit, hell and damn with a bit of glee) responds something like "I didn't know we were having a test tomorrow" with a mock serious tone and then replies "if you mean the one Friday then yes blah blah blah" it was most amusing.
