The Onslaught Continues

In an effort to shed even more of this comfortable, but not very aesthetic "winter padding", I have increased my activity level and have started to reign in my nutrition. At one point I was 232 pounds and 19% bodyfat, not the absolute worst shape I have ever been in, but I well exceeded the 15% I was supposed to stay at.

Cutting down on my carbohydrates immediately took off 2% of my bodyfat. I keep my red bull consumption to a small can when I am at the club and no more. I also started cooking more food for my consort and I. Now unless we are pressed or running errands, we run a meal plan for 3 days at a time. This makes it easier to not eat crappy take-out.

I now spend 1.5 hours every other day on weight training, and 45 minutes to one hour of cardio on my off days. This has dropped another 1% of bodyfat off of me in the last two weeks. I find that by enhancing my protein intake to 1.5 grams/lbd of body weight, it has helped me retain the muscle I have while training intensely.

So far no real PR's, I did 320x10 on the flat bench press yesterday. Mainly I have gained muscular endurance all across the board. I still engage in power-lifting, but I am keeping that to an every third week schedule to maintain what I have in the power/strength department.

So far my stats are 226 pounds and 16% bodyfat. Hopefully I can get back down to 10% by June.
