[He offered Sylar a quick, half-hearted smile, as he joined him at the table.] Dinner tonight is fish and chips. [He thought on it for a moment, then wrinkled his nose slightly] In the loosest sense.

[Sylar watched West take the seat across from him, forgetting that the man worked the dinner shift in the kitchens. He himself worked breakfasts but the two shifts rarely saw each other. And Sylar skipped out as often as he could anyway. It wasn't fair that he should have to work when so few others did, especially given that half of them working were wardens or punished by their wardens.]
"It sounds great." [He smiled lightly at West's greeting, trying to remain friendly. It had been awhile since they had really spoken and the last decent conversation had been during a flood.
