Not quite the right person having the revelation, and only one member of the OT3 is present, but...XD

Selphie cornered Sora the day after, as he was packing up to head to lunch. The classroom was nearly empty when she finally navigated her way through the crowded halls. He gave her a puzzled look when she came up to him with narrowed eyes, and shoved the last stack of make-up homework into his bag. "What's up, Selphie?" he asked.

"I need to talk to you," she said, and continued before he could ask further, "alone. C'mon."

Grabbing a skinny arm, she dragged him out of the classroom and up to the roof before he could protest or his shadows could come and sprite him off.

"Whoa," he laughed good-naturedly. "Hold up, I'm coming, I'm coming." The minute she released his arm, he adjusted his backpack strap and fell easily into step with her, blue eyes sparkling. "What's the hurry? I'm supposed to meet Kairi and Riku to compare answers to the math homework during lunch, you know."

"This is more important," Selphie declared, and in a few more minutes, the heavy door to the school rooftop screeched like a dying thing as she attempted to shoulder it open. He reached past her and easily pushed it, spilling noontime sun into the stairwell. Selphie checked to make sure that there was no one else on the rooftop before leading him to the water tower, where they could talk without being overheard, and the door was in plain view if anyone else came up. "Okay, spill. What's going on??"

Sora gave her an extremely confused look, which with his baby blues and innocent face, made her rather feel like she had just kicked a puppy. "What?"

"Amana from class B talked to you yesterday during lunch, didn't she?" Selphie asked. Sora blinked.

"She did." He nodded.

"And what did she want?"

If it had been anyone else, Selphie would've expected immediate clamming up, because guys (and sometimes girls) were dumb like that. But this was Sora, who lacked a single duplicitous bone in his body. "She asked if I was going to prom." Sora answered promptly. "I said I was already going with someone though, and she kinda hurried off after that." he scratched his head. "I wonder why? She seemed really nervous about something.

Selphie sighed. Never mind, Sora really WAS dumb like that. "She was trying to ask you to go." She clarified.

"Oh," Sora looked vaguely apologetic. "Oops. But I really am already going with someone."

And therein lies the reason she wanted to talk. "Riku got called out by a lot of girls too."

"Yeah."

Selphie stood with her hands on her hips. "He said he was already going with someone too."

"Well, yeah." Sora agreed. "That's cuz we're all going together, me, Riku and Kairi."

Selphie stared. This was...she wanted to say, unexpected, but...maybe not. Not really. Two years ago, it would've been unexpected. But after Sora and Kairi came back tanner, stronger, and Riku quieter, the three of them were even more inseparable than before. It was as if all the faint cracks between them from before were patched together and sealed to leave the whole even stronger. "You, Riku and Kairi..." she repeated slowly.

"Yeah," Sora placed his hands behind his head and grinned his irrepressible grin.

Slowly, Selphie grinned back, which made Sora smile even wider. "...yeah."

Those poor, dumb boys (because Kairi would've already figured it out by now, if she hadn't known since years ago). She looked forward to the day they get the proverbial clue hammer to the head.
