I was around 9 years old when my parents bought me the "Thriller" album.
I played that record endlessly.
Come to think of it, I played his "Bad" album over and over again, too.
When I was in middle school, one daydream I had over and over was
to be able to break out a spontaneous dance AT a school dance
and just floor everyone. I didn't know what could be cooler than that.
If you aren't old enough to remember when Michael was THE
entertainer, it's hard to describe just how popular he was and how
his talent just captured your imagination.
I even had Michael Jackson slipper-socks in the 5th grade.
Who knows . . . maybe he'll get to moonwalk ON the moon now.
I don't think that's asking much, do you?
Another part of my childhood washed away,
but some great memories remain.
