I'm having trouble sleeping now, so how 'bout a quick post, huh? Excellent.
I'm having the WEIRDEST damn dreams lately. It felt like my dream last night lasted FOREVER.
And, as always, it made NO damn sense, whatsoever. This is what I remember:
I'm competing on one of those design shows on Bravo that my mom loves to watch and
the challenge is to make some cool piece of art incorporating one word, like "DREAMS"
or something like that. So, I'm the leader of my team (even though I have the feeling that
ultimately this show will have have just one winner), so I put my design idea down, like
every one on my team does, but then I can't find anyone 'cause they're all chillin' somewhere
and talkin' shit about me, then I pick one guy to actually make the piece of art, but I don't
see it until it's submitted for the judges . . . and it's HUGE, but not very good, and I'm
like, "crap." So then I see the next team's project and they've made a board game box for
their word and it looks SWEET, so then I'm like, "SHIT . . .we SO lost."
The next thing I know I'm walking through this campus/town place that's flooded and as I'm moving along
I notice Sarah Michelle Gellar walking a few steps behind me (NO, I'm not a fan or anything),
so I slow down and start chatting her up and we end up at her door and she invites me in,
. . . but then it's like I'm just watching her on T.V. and some woman goes in instead.
So THAT sucked big time.
The last thing I remember is that I had a long way to travel (to where I have no clue), so I'm using these
MONSTER 20-foot-high crutches and almost using them like stilts under my arms to get around which felt
cool/dangerous.
I need to just . . . NOT dream anymore, I think.
It feels like forever since I've been in rehearsal. It's been just over a week, but I have a feel that it's going
to feel awkward . . . like playing catch-up or something when I return tonight (Thurs). Hopefully the groove will still be there.
If anyone knows where I could score free suits that could fit me and work for our 80s period show, I'd really appreciate it.
I fucking HATE looking for my own costumes. It's a pain in the ass when you have no money and tall ta' boot.
Congratulations to Shila and Grace on scoring their Stage Manager and Sound Technician positions, respectfully!
I'm glad Diana is o.k., too. That's some scary shit.
The finals for the karaoke contest should be interesting, but I'll be glad when it's over for two reasons;
One, even though it's just for fun (and possibly a little money), this contest seems to really stress some people out,
which is unfortunate and not fun to witness, and, Two, I'm getting a little sick of just watching on the sidelines
while other people sing. Considering how late rehearsal might run next Tuesday, I'll probably be lucky to
sing one song, MAYBE two.
Jenny B. came across as a total sweetheart on "Rock Of Love Bus" on Vh1. I guess her 15 minutes are over for now.
American Idol was a fucking SCAM tonight. Everyone knew that Danny was going to be in the top three
(if he doesn't win the whole thing, that dude from Kalamazoo should), but I can sing better than that
country/oil rig dude, and there's no WAY that single mom sang better than crazy, emotional girl
(no, don't care to remember most of their names). NOOP DOG GOT SCREWED!!!
I think I'm taking a break from this show 'cause I'm gonna hurt someone.
"LOST" still rocks.
Thanks to Lisa and Richard for hosting the Valentine's Day party. It was MUCHO fun!
I expect to see more of you at the next scheduled get-together, people. You only live ONCE, goddammit,
so let's get the lead out of our ass, people!!!
Love, peace, and chicken grease,
-Brian
