Who: Luke Skywalker and whoever Where: The study, to start with. When: Day 001, just after noon. What: Luke's trying to get his bearings in the house. Warnings: N/A
She'd shifted her weight to the balls of her feet to silence her heels from making any noise as she continued to wander through the house. It seemed deserted as far she could tell, but if she and the lion-man had found themselves here, there had to be others as well. when she pushed open the door to the study, the sight of someone else made her hesitate for just a second.
Then, easy as pie, she slipped inside as though his presence hadn't been unexpected in the least. She seemed to be in no hurry to acknowledge him, but she kept her senses sharp in case he suddenly decided to move. Her fingers played over the dusty spines of the book. Nothing out of the ordinary, it seemed...
"I take it you're another guest." She finally spoke to the books, tilting her head back so she could catch a glimpse of the man.
Luke turned, nodding and smiling to the woman who'd just walked in. She'd startled him a bit, but he had calmed down a bit from how unsettled that little girl had made him and wasn't so jumpy anymore.
"Unfortunately," Her lips quirked faintly, returning the expression as she turned to face him more fully. "The name's Ada. Ada Wong. Have you met the others?"
He didn't seem frightened. On edge, perhaps, but weren't they all?
"I'm Luke Skywalker," he said, bowing slightly from the waist. "I've met a couple other people. Um... Hizashi, and a little girl - Nina. And now you. It's nice to meet you, Ada."
Luke shifted, smoothing a hand down his arm through the sleeve of his brown cloak. It was chilly in here despite that the light and the bell earlier meant it was after midday. Maybe this planet was just colder than normal. "I've heard there are others. Do you know how many?"
Very formal. The woman made a mental note of the names--one familiar, one not--and offered another small smile. "I don't know an exact number. More than I was expecting. People are being brought here without rhyme or reason. There's no pattern to it."
"That's what I thought, too." His story, Hizashi's, and Nina's had been so different. They were a diverse bunch, with all kinds of families and abilities and backgrounds, and even different states of arrival. It was like someone was taking the most different people they could and seeing if they could get along.
That made him think of the little girl. Reaching out to touch some of the books on the shelf nearby, he said, "Maybe the house wants friends."
That earned a stare, and an incredulous arch of her brow. "A house is an inanimate object. I don't think it wants friends, Luke." That wasn't a promising sign. Though, perhaps, if someone in the house wanted friends--well, that seemed unlikely too.
"Well, I mean..." Luke went a little red. There was a reason that Leia had been so good at politics, where Luke had preferred going out and training Jedi (even though that always seemed to bring the politics to him, at least he had his sister to rely on). "There was a little girl who I talked to. I wonder if she was how the house talks to people. I know this sounds insane, but she could do stuff that Jedi could do but she isn't Force sensitive. And she just... disappeared..."
He smiled a little sheepishly. "You probably think I'm crazy, huh?"
