Who: Sakura and YOU.
Where: Parlor, library, possibly up to the second floor -- wherever, basically.
When: Night 004.
What: New ninja + paranoia + exploring.
Warnings: Sakura's temper...?
It was incredibly cold. That was the second thing Sakura noticed.
The first thing she noticed was that this was most definitely not where she was supposed to be, where she intended to be, and that the rest of her hastily assembled team was not with her. A genjutsu, she naturally assumed, but first one, then two more subsequent release jutsu failed to cleave it.
A very good genjutsu, then.
Which was why she didn't really expect the heavy door to open for her, even when forced with the full strength Tsunade taught her to tap into. An illusion this elaborate and well-crafted wasn't broken by kicking down imaginary doors; her energy would be better spent looking for clues. Better applied to figuring out who had caught her -- how the hell did they get so close to Konoha? -- and why -- had she pissed anyone off recently? -- and searching for weaknesses she could exploit, fissures and cracks that could be used to shatter their grip on her mind -- where were the guys? How come one of them hadn't broken her out yet? So she began exploring.
Admittedly, she found the library a bit odd. Pulling a random book off the shelf and opening it -- yes, there's text in it. She had to marvel at the amount of chakra that must have gone into creating this level of detail.
The cold was rather annoyingly distracting, her thoughts broken up sporadically by shivers -- which was perhaps the point. But Haruno Sakura was nothing if not stubborn, and she refused to be put off her quest by it.
(By this fake house, by the unknown assailant, by her own deep-seeded misgivings and heartache.)
