Who: Shadow and YOU Where: Entry hall When: Day 2 What: Shadow arrives and begins to explore Warnings: Shadow is grumpy and make get annoyed with you. He shouldn't be too bad though.
In the parlor, Eight has been crouching behind the door of the closet. Up until the roar, which seems to shake the entire house, at least to Eight's tiny frame of reference. In a panic he grabs his weapons and runs out to find the source of the noise, so as to better locate where, exactly, he should be running away from. Besides, Ricardo told him the closet was a bad hiding spot, although Eight can't remember why.
At the sound and sight of a mechanical creature of such size, Eight freezes up entirely. Right in the dead center of the hallway, holding his butcher knife.
He feels the sense of being watched and catches the brief movement out of the corner of his eye. Shadow swings around to stare at the tiny thing. At first he decides to dismiss it, because what harm can something so small do to him? But no, it has a weapon. That, and he's never seen anything like it before. That pipes his curiosity. Will such a small thing really try to attack him?
Either way, the Organoid lets out a small warning growl. He won't attack, but if the tiny thing attacks him, he won't hesitate to fight back. And in that contest, Shadow suspects he'd win.
Well, Eight is suitably terrified. Keeping his weapon up, he scurries under a table, as if that will help him. Although that brings him no comfort, since the shadows here are also bad news.
Tiny thing had disappeared. Shadow was more curious that he ought to be, so he walked over and leaned down as far as he could, peering under the table at the tiny thing. His head tilts, wondering what the little thing is. It seems to be made of fabric, but it was alive. Something mechanical inside it maybe?
The instant the movement has registered, Shadow's moving. The Organoid lets out a roar, jerking and snapping metal teeth down on the blade. A small part of him was impressed. Not very many tiny things were willing to take on something bigger.
He jerks back, aiming to pull the knife away from the tiny thing. He doubts the tiny thing can compete with the strength he has.
Eight doesn't know what to do now, but given that he went to so much trouble to get this knife, he just clutches the blade's handle in a death grip and lets Shadow pull him off the ground entirely. He dangles from the blade, kicking his tiny feet in futility.
...well, that was a surprise. He hadn't expected the tiny thing to hold on.
The Organoid tilted his head so Eight was hanging in a way that let Shadow see him. The doll got a questioning sound. Shadow wanted to know why he was acting this way. The machine didn't seem very threatening at the moment, just curious. He'd never been attacked by something so much smaller than him, after all.
Eight flails his little feet about, trying with all his might to kick the metal beast. He doesn't possess the vocabulary to give voice to his fears, nor the intelligence to realize that Shadow isn't really a threat. It's only starting to occur to him that Shadow doesn't want to kill him.
Finally, he lets go of the knife and lands on his feet. He hunches up his shoulders like he's planning to attack Shadow with his small fists to get that knife back.
The Organoid watches the tiny thing when it lands, the blade in his jaws still. He could snap the blade with ease if he wanted to, but the way the tiny thing acted kind of impressed him. So instead, he lowers his head and drops the blade, eyeing the creature. Brave tiny thing.
Monster? He wasn't a monster, he was a Zoid. Monster was a point of view. Master probably thought he was, but Shadow didn't really think he was. He shook his head a tiny bit, a negative rumble echoing from him.

Finally, he grunts. "Monster?"

"Friend?"

Eight got a more neutral sound for that one. Friend, not really. But he wouldn't attack either, unless Eight attacked him again.

Eight is highly confused. He scratches his head and sways a little from foot to foot as he thinks about this. Then tries something new.
"Comrade?"
