Ryuho walked through the lower levels of the mansion. It seemed true that there was no way out. He didn't know how that was, or why his alter could not absorb the material of the door or walls and allow him to escape in that fashion. Despite all of his wanderings, he was not able to find a door or window that opened.
Something about this place seemed off to him now that night had fallen, the hairs on the back of his neck prickled with the thought of danger. And we he turned into the next room, he saw the dogs, or creatures that might pass as doglike in any event.
