During that incident where we weren't acting like ourselves, Bowser made us sign a contract to pledge our loyalty to him.

When we came to our senses, the two of tried to get out of it but Bowser... he kidnapped my parents and Watt's mother to make us cooperate. We wanted to go get help... but he threatened to kill all three of them if we opened our mouths.

Like I said, Bowser threatened to kill them if we said anything and for a long time we didn't know where they were they be held captive. We couldn't blindly rush in and rescue them whether we had back-up or not.
