"Maken" Page Comparisons
I finished my manga manuscript! One of them, anyway! Yay! 8 pages! In 2 weeks! Despite having school and parents around and being out of the house for 12 hours almost everyday! Yhei! *dies*
I actually made some before-and-after comparisons for myself (because I've always thought my sketches look better than my inking) but then I figured, why not just put these up in my blog to further embarass myself!?
Page 2. I like how the window turned out in the 3rd panel. That's all. The last panel looks better in my mind. =_=
Page 3. I think that last panel of Steve (the Walter lookalike's name) is pretty much the only recent decent analog inking I've done in awhile... But I still like the sketch version better.
Page 4. Say hello to the hole in Steve's right eye...socket. I like the last panel more despite the panel next to it should be cooler. OTL
That's all I bothered to scan. Too busy to scan the whole chapter to make a full comparison.
No, I never want to talk about the manga I've been making for Nemakon all this time. They're always rushed and never properly thought up, so they just simply suck. Even the character designs look damn cliched because I just went with character appearances I like. (Emo hair, tomboy girls, etc) But I just like the characters and the rough whole plot I've put them in (which I think can go on for 2-3 tankoubons, lol), so I just keep drawing them for Nemakon despite that you shouldn't be drawing a 'series'. 'Cause once the book's sold out, we don't print them anymore, therefore nobody knows what happens in the previous chapter unless they bought every single book by us so everyone always draw simple one-shot stories*. But in my case, they're like one-shots of the same characters.
But I dunno, maybe someday I'll introduce my characters properly. Someday. But I still think their designs suck. And just FYI, I nickname this 'series' "Maken" and no, it doesn't have anything to do with swords. XD; Its full title sucks too, so I wish I can change it for a better title someday...
I'M RAMBLING.
* Except for Ootani-sempai. He's kinda like me, on how we keep reusing the existing characters we have because those characters have our favourite appearances. XDDD
Now to work on the 4 pages of BL manga I promised Mika-chan... Which still used the same guys as in this comic, harhar... BUT I SHOULD SLEEP NOW.
