I haven't updated on here in...well....eighteen weeks. That's shockingly abysmal. But then again, no one is ever on here, so that's one of the reasons why.
And when I went to view my journal, I noticed a very ugly Google ad as a top banner for the URL. Gross. I didn't know my journal had sketchy looking advertising on it.
Blogspot is so much better.
Anyway.
I'm at work right now, listening to Massive Attack and trying to figure out what to do about a patient's daily ECG, which I'm quite sure they do not need. But I'll leave that up to the doctor to reassess.
Yes, I have managed to survive one year at this job. There have been many many changes since I started, but I'm still here, still holding on, still managing it.
So much has happened in one year, that this Thanksgiving holiday has give me reason to step back and think about all the changes that have occurred.
One sister off in Asia for a couple years, a brother in the military intelligence, and another brother now a pastor despite his business degree. The places where life takes us is bizarre and very unexpected.
Even more surprising is the fact that I'm still in Hamilton, almost mired down in work and a very boring life, while those three are off living it up, sans family style.
When did I become the person who was left behind???
